Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland
Bringing a new facility to Northeast Ohio
Cuyahoga County
Cuyahoga County, Ohio, has completed the development of a new convention center in downtown Cleveland. The Center has 240,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 32,000 square-foot ballroom, 11,000 square-foot junior ballroom and 50,000 square feet of additional meeting space. The facility also joins to Cleveland’s Public Auditorium and a new 600-room headquarters hotel managed by Hilton.
CW’s 14-year involvement with the project began with an analysis of alternative proposed sites. CW’s role expanded to provide a range of services including architectural programming, operational performance standards, design review, program confirmation, budget and schedule analysis, procurement assistance with furnishings and operating equipment.
CW provided management and operational consulting, organizational analysis and aided with the solicitation of a nationally-recognized facility management operator. CW served as asset manager for the convention center until the COVID-19 shutdown in 2022.
