Conventional Wisdom developed the facility program and assisted in the multi-phase master plan and preliminary design of this major exhibition and convention center located in Koyang City for Kyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea. The facility is primarily intended to serve large trade shows and to work in concert with COEX located at the Korea World Trade Center in downtown Seoul.
Each of the three phases involve approximately 600,000 square feet of exhibition space, with a moderate amount of meeting and support space. The facility is the centerpiece of a new mixed-use complex on the outskirts of Seoul which will include both headquarters and secondary hotels, a retail complex, housing and a technology incubation center.
In 2008, Kyeonggi Province executed the second phase of the master plan with the planned expansion of the complex.
